I am so happy for them right now. Maybe I’ll write an actual entry later. About Jin getting married, about him becoming a dad (?), about Akame - yes because a huge part of the denial comes from this part of fandom. Just for the record, I ship Akame and will always ship them. I’ll explain why…

Akanishi Jin and Kuroki Meisa’s agencies release official statements
On January 26th, Akanishi Jin and Kuroki Meisa’s agencies released official statements regarding the recent rumor about a possible relationship.
News outlet Sponichi (or ‘Sports Nippon’) broke the news about an alleged date at Tokyo DisneySea and possible romantic relationship between Akanishi and Kuroki on January 25th. Naturally, all of the outlets now tried to get an official statement from both of their agencies. Sanspo was one of the first to publish their statements online.
Akanishi’s agency stated, “We know that they are friends, but they aren’t in a relationship. Moreover we heard that they went to Tokyo DisneySea with several friends.” Kuroki’s agency wrote a similar statement with, “It’s true that they went to Tokyo DisneySea, but several friends were with them. He (Akanishi) is just a friend.”

On January 25th, news outlet Sponichi (or ‘Sports Nippon’) broke the news about a possible romantic relationship between singer Akanishi Jin and actress Kuroki Meisa. Reportedly, the two were seen “dating openly” at Tokyo DisneySea theme park in Urayasu, Chiba on the 22nd. Neither Akanishi nor Kuroki cared about being seen by the people around them. According to Sponichi, the two stars have been acquainted for a couple of years now. Their relationship developed into something more after they both attended a group dinner with mutual friends in fall of 2011. Akanishi is currently quite active outside Japan; he’s just released his second U.S. EP and was recently cast in the upcoming Hollywood movie, ‘47RONIN‘. Meanwhile, Kuroki is enjoying a rising popularity in Japan, thanks to her music and numerous commercials, dramas, and movies. Both are said to like the same type of music and even the same movie genre. According to their friends, they are a perfect match in terms of hobbies and looks. I don’t know what to make of this. Jin and Meisa are like, definitely on my top 5 list of favorite Japanese people, but… I’m still shipping this one sooo hard:

Six years after Kame takes Jin’s A, they’re still doing what they’ve been doing ever since that momentous second they stood on stage all together.
They’re still performing in Music Station, Music Japan, Music Lovers—still going on nationwide tours, overseas tours, world tours—still performing like everything was like that of day one; energy laced within their veins, sweat on their foreheads, the beauty of the moment in their chests.
Within the six years that has elapsed, old programs are scrapped and discontinued, and are replaced by new ones, with new staff, with new hosts who are equally new to the business. KAT-TUN is heralded with VIPs and positions of finale guesting, like they’re the SMAP of today’s generation. Today, they’re appearing on Pop Culture 101, a five month old show broadcasted at NHK. They all file into the stage one minute before they go live on air.
As Kame walks to his seat, his gaze catches the cardboard sign bearing their name, its body propped onto a stand. He stares at the letters printed onto the surface.
Kame turns to the production assistant. “Can I get a marker?”
She seems a little bit out of it, but she complies with a squeaky h-hai nonetheless.
The others look over at their youngest with a knowing glance. Nakamaru angles his face to the side, away from the camera, as he smiles a small smile.
The squeaking of the felt tip onto the board’s surface stops and with that Kame hands back the marker to the nearest staff member. “Thank you.” He nods and settles back onto his seat.
A 3, 2, 1 and a program jingle later, they go live. It’s just like six years ago, the way they answer the questions, the tone of their voices, the mannerisms they all exude. For the entirety of the program, the placard reads this:

I always make an effort to spell them in CAP n with the hyphen :)
